Students from WV joined with a team of Tennessee Tech students and their professor, Dr. Cunningham, to conduct a plant energy assessment of Olin Corporation, Charleston.  The plan was to cover fundamentals of operation of systems and culminate in suggestions and recommendations for cutting operational costs.  The team of TTU students included 3 graduate students and 1 undergrad student, all engineering students.  Students from WV were selected through an application process and are all prospective engineers.  Participating in practical engineering work, learning engineering concepts, and interacting with plant engineers and the TTU assessment team offered a valuable experience for WV calculus students.
