Students work with local business....

The 1st. block Web Essentials class of Mr. Bryan has taken their web design skills and put them to practical use.  Several weeks ago the owners of The Angel Boutique in Calhoun, Gary and Linda Barham, contacted the class and asked if they would be interested in designing a website for their business.  The class eagerly agreed and with initial information and pictures supplied by Ms. Barham, started work on the site.  On Thursday, October 14, Mr. and Mrs. Barham visited the web class to view the student's sites and to talk to the class about being owners of a business.  Mr. and Mrs. Barham met with each student and reviewed their work, making notes about each site.  After the initial vist, the Barhams will supply the class a list of features they liked about the different sites, and the class will move to Phase II in consolidating various components and completing the website.  The owners of The Angel Boutique told the class that they were amazed how they had captured the target audience of the business, and were especially impressed with the original artwork they had created for the site.  The Web Essentials class would like to thank Mr. and Mrs. Barham for giving them this opportunity to put their skills to work, and hopes to do other design work for individuals and businesses in the area.
