Individual and Chapter Awards Presented
Walker Valley FBLA chapter received several outstanding awards at the Tennessee State Conference in Chattanooga, April 15-18. Members competed among 2200 state FBLA members for various awards in many business topics and competitions. Members from Walker Valley winning awards were:
Taylor Morris, 1st. place Accounting II
Megan Bryson and Angela Craft, 2nd. place Emerging Business Issues
Zyan Kirkland, 1st. place, Introduction to Business Communications
Megan Webb, 4th. place Human Resource Management
Andrew Atkinson, 4th. place, E-Business
Allison Clowers, 4th. place, Web Design
In addition to the individual awards, the Walker Valley FBLA Chapter received the Gold Seal Chapter Award of Merit. This award recognizes chapters that excel in activities in the areas of service, education, and leadership. This was awarded to only seven chapters in the state. Walker Valley was also recognized as one of three chapters in the state who contributed to the local FBLA scholarship funds.
